Drug dogs can smell molly and MDMA, but whether the particular dog will have been trained to sniff out molly and alert the police handlers is another matter. Drug dogs are trained for specific smells such as explosives, narcotics, money, or even certain objects. The bottom line is, police dogs can smell anything they have been trained to.

We can see red and blue squares on a background of blue and we can estimate the proportions of each color. If a dog is trained to smell something they will smell it. Even if MDMA was in a pill with other adulterants the dog would be able to smell the 'layers.' You really can't hide much from a drug sniffing dog.

Yes, if they are trained to do so. Dogs can smell just about anything, but they have to be trained to alert to each particular substance. Regardless, most of the time when you encounter a drug-sniffing dog, it doesn't matter whether you have drugs or not.

In order to continue using K9 units, new dogs must be brought aboard and trained to alert police officers to the presence of drugs like cocaine, MDMA, heroin, and any other illegal substance. While it’s sad to rob dogs out of their life’s purpose, according to a report published by Reason, dogs are pretty bad at sniffing out drugs.

Theoretically speaking: Yes. Practically: No. Unless you are shipping hundreds of pounds of MDMA through high risk harbors, airports or border areas there will be no dog who can smell your few grams of mdma.
