No! Drug test doesn't screen for k2. By the way it is legal in US, so you don't have to worry about it.

K2 is one of the legal herbs that do not show in most drug screens. The herbs metabolites are however detectable from human urine. This herbal mixture is also known as synthetic marijuana. This substance has similar chemical properties contained in THC, the active component that is found in natural marijuana.

r00tn3rd 15 Aug 2019. I just had a false positive on a drug screen for k2 and I also take Gabapentin and Lamictal. I also take Ibuprofen and or Naproxen ocassionally. From reading the comments it sounds like the combo of the Gabapentin and Lamictal might be the culprit.

Does K2 Show Up On a Drug Test? Unfortunately, K2 or synthetic marijuana cannot be detected by routine urine toxicology tests and standard marijuana detection kits. Therefore performing a spice drug test requires special detection methods.

A urine drug test generally does not screen for substances like K2 that are deemed “not intended for human consumption.” As one chemical compound of a synthetic cannabinoid is discovered and banned, others are continually being made illicitly to replace it. It can be difficult for labs doing the drug testing to keep up.

Can drug tests detect K2? Standard 5-panel drug tests do not detect K2 in the human body (source), as synthetic cannabinoids differ from THC in structure. Although drug tests have the ability to test for the chemicals used in K2, these chemicals must be specifically requested as an addition to a standard drug-testing panel.

Answer (1 of 13): K2 will show up in a urine test if it is K2 that is being tested for. Drug testing is traditionally checking for the usage of the following five drug groups: Cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, phencyclidine, and cannabinoids (which includes marijuana and hash).

This K2 / Spice test will be positive if the test sample contains at least 25 nanograms of traces of synthetic cannabis per milliliter of urine. Conversely, it will be negative if the sample contains less or not at all. Detection time of K2/Spice in urine : 2 to 3 days after consumption

Here at 12 Panel Now, we provide Synthetic Marijuana Drug Test (K2 Test Strips) for personal or business use. If you are participating in a mandatory employment screening, or require this of your employees, or even concerned about your own drug levels, you now have an option to drug test yourself.

It has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Methodology Initial presumptive testing by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) at a testing threshold of 1.0 ng/mL; presumptive positives confirmed by definitive liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) at a testing threshold of 1.0 ng/mL.

Your drug test may show up positive for methadone or opiates if you are taking quetiapine. Sertraline (Zoloft) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. Taking sertraline could lead to a positive result for benzodiazepines or LSD on a drug test. Trazodone is another antidepressant used to treat depression.
